Oh we do like to be beside the seaside!
Published 06/04/22Last week our Year 2 children enjoyed their school trip to Skegness beach as part of their Geography learning on the Coastline. The day was very hot and sunny and the children were able to play seaside games with their friends. The children also tried fish and chips and enjoyed an ice-cream in the afternoon!

Goal!
Published 30/03/22Our Year 3 and 4 girls enjoyed their trip to 'Goals Leicester' last week. The children enjoyed practising their new football skills in the sunshine. The girl's confidence grew as they took part in a variety of football games and activities with children from other schools.

Published 28/03/22Our Year 5 children have been building their own big hotels as part of their Science unit ‘Sow, grow and farm.’ The bug hotels will be placed into the new school allotment once it is ready!

Bikeability!
Published 24/03/22Our Year 5 children have been taking part in their 'Bikeability' sessions this week The children have been learning how to ride safely on their bikes. The children have practised on the school playground and on the roads close to our school. Well done Year 5!

Money, money, money!
Published 23/03/22In Year 1 the children have been learning about money. The children have been learning about the value of each coin and ordering them from the smallest value to the highest value. Well done Year 1!

The Poli:gen project!
Published 22/03/22Our Year 5 children enjoyed another Poli:Gen session with Marc on Monday The children outlined a section in the Forest school area with pebbles before sowing seeds using compost and their billy cans. The children thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Thank you Marc!

Published 17/03/22Our Year 2 children have been learning about the seaside in preparation for their visit to Skegness! Kate from @MidlandsCLS showed the children a variety of seaside objects from the past and allowed the children to try on a range of beach outfits!

Baby went to market...
Published 16/03/22For World Book Day our Nursery children were learning about the Nigerian tale ‘Baby goes to market.’
The children worked really hard on writing the names of the objects at the market and created artistic representations. Great work Oak class!
