Poli:Gen project!
Published 13/09/21The year 5 children have been outside today using chalk pictures on the playground to understand the biodiversity in our environments. We discussed the use of Quadrats to conduct surveys. The children learnt how important it is in providing enough variety for our Pollinators and the negative impact of buildings, cars and pollution.

Year 6 trip to Beaumanor hall
Published 10/09/21Our Year 6 children have been on a school trip to Beaumanor hall this week. The children were taking part in team building exercises whilst using particular skills such as teamwork and leadership to support them in completing certain challenges.

Reception children

The children have been exploring the indoor and outdoor area, and they have begun to make new friendships.

Year 3's Entry day!
Published 08/09/21Year 3 had their Entry day on Monday for their new topic. Year 3's new topic is all about the Stone Age era and so the children became archaeologists for the day.

Book review
Published 03/09/21Mrs Gill and her children have started to write a short book review on each book that they read as a class. Pine class enjoyed reading the story ‘WISP: a story of hope’ by Zana Fraillon and Graeme Baker-Smith - a story about hope and freedom.

Beat the Street
Published 31/08/21Over 500 of our pupils took part in the Beat the Street campaign over the summer holidays! We finished third in the Leicester North East area and therefore gained a place on the leaderboard.

Minibeast hunt
Published 10/06/21This week our Reception children have been exploring the school grounds and embarking on a minibeast hunt. The children collected a tally of information on their clipboards and found a variety of minibeasts in different micro-habitats. The children even found a newt!

UKS2 Sports day!
Published 09/06/21Before half-term our Year 5 and Year 6 children enjoyed having their Sports day. All the children took part in a carousel of competitive sports activities which included: the egg and spoon race, a sack race and a relay race.
