    Our Year 2 children have been busy in the allotment this week. The children have been learning about plant survival and as part of their Science learning they have been investigating the question 'Do bigger seeds germinate faster than smaller seeds?' The children worked with their talk partner to plant their seeds. Each pair had a different sized seed. Well done Year 2!

  • The Botanical Gardens

    The Year 2 children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Leicester's Botanical Gardens earlier this week. For one of the activities about Plants, the children had to create their own natural art using a range of natural materials that they could find in the woodland area. The children really enjoyed this activity. Well done everyone!

  • Year 2 Trip to the Botanical Gardens

    The Year 2 children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the Botanical Gardens this week. The children have been learning about plants in their Science lessons and they were excited to expand their knowledge. They were able to sketch cacti in the desert house and plant their own cress in the classroom. Everyone had a wonderful day!

  • Mock Trial!

    Some of our Key Stage Two children took part in a mock trial based on knife crime. They got to act out what a real life youth court would look like and the dangers of carrying a bladed tool. The children got the chance to talk to real magistrates and find out what happens in a court setting. All the children were amazing  and one of the Rushey Mead members received an outstanding acting award! Well done everyone!

  • KS1 Christmas Performance!
