Inside our classroom
Bonsai Class is a double mobile unit that is spacious enough to provide the children with personal space when and where appropriate that will support the children’s learning.
We have a wealth of resources to support and cater for multi-sensory learning within ‘The Snug’ room, these include a bubble tube, sensory lights, dark tent, glow pebbles and beanbags. This provides the children with a calm space to use for times when they need to self-regulate or just require somewhere peaceful to sit or learn.
The learning zone is set up with individual workstations and free-flow activities that encourage independent play and learning. This room is also used during lunchtimes and when the children are ready and we feel that it is appropriate they can sit in the main hall with their peers at lunchtime.
In addition to this we have our own outdoor learning space which is fenced to keep the children safe and secure. We also have access to the school’s forest school area and the school field, playground, hall spaces, kitchen area and studio to support and enhance the activities being taught.
